    Earn a Degree or Certificate

    Whether you are interest in an Associate’s degree or a certificate of specialization in a subject, Del Mar College is the place for you.  With over 100 certificates and degrees available, you’re sure to find an area of study to meet your interests.  The first step in reaching your dream is to apply for admission.  Good luck!     

    Pursue a Degree Online

    Whether you want to complete your entire degree online or take just a few online classes to supplement your face to face classes, Del Mar College is the place to be.  With 3 online degree plans  and dozens of online classes in many different areas, Del Mar College offers you the flexibility of online classes to fit your schedule.  Admissions and registration procedures are the same for online students as for students attending on-campus classes. 

    Transfer to Del Mar College

    Del Mar College is a great place to finish a degree you have started elsewhere.  Del Mar College has lots of choices to complete the degree you were working on or change to a different degree plan.  Just follow the regular admissions procedures(link) and make sure to provide all official transcripts.  If you have no college credit, you will need to provide your official high school transcript or GED.   

    Acquire Workforce Skills or Change My Career

    Is it time for a change?  Del Mar College offers a wide range of programs for people wanting to compete for current jobs or to change careers.  Currently, almost half of our students are studying for careers in the computer, technology or health sciences arenas.  First, you need to apply for admission and soon you’ll be on your way to an exciting career..

    Finish a Degree

    Whether you are returning to Del Mar College after a few semesters off, coming to Del Mar College after working on a degree at another college, or maybe you’ve decided the certificate wasn't enough and now you want to earn an Associate’s degree, you're in the right place.  There's even Fresh Start  [link] options if college didn't work out for you the first time around. 

    Earn a GED

    If you need help completing your General Education Development (GED), Del Mar College is here for you.  We have programs designed to assist you in passing the GED examination as well as programs to improve basic literacy skills (ABE) and English communication skills (ESL).   All of these programs are free of charge, so why wait? 

    Earn College Credit while Attending High School

    Want a jump start on your college career? Del Mar College offers three ways to get started on your way: Collegiate High School, where you can earn up to an Associate in Arts Degree; Early Admissions Program, where you can receive college credit while completing requirements for high school graduation; and Dual Credit, where you can earn college and high school credit simultaneously. We also offer High School Articulation Programs for occupational programs in specific programs and Tech-Prep Programs which enable you to earn up to 16 semester hours in a technical area. More information is available from your high school counselor or the Del Mar College Admissions Office. 

    Go to Del Mar College for the Summer

    Have extra time this summer to take classes?  Del Mar College can get you to your finish line faster by allowing you to complete a few credits over the summer.  If you’re a former Del Mar College student and have been away for less than a year, you can skip steps and go straight to registration or if you’ve been gone more than a year, complete a new application.  If you’ve never attended Del Mar College, it’s still easy.  

    Start at Del Mar, then Transfer to Another School

    There are several ways for you to continue your education beyond Del Mar College. After you earn your degree at Del Mar College you may be able to transfer many of those credits to other colleges and universities and continue working towards a four-year degree. Core curriculum courses transfer as core to other Texas public institutions. Check the current college catalog for specific majors offered in your field of interest. Additionally, Del Mar College has formal agreements, called 2+2 plans, with several four-year institutions in Texas.  

    Take a Few Classes

    Have you always wanted to take an art class and now you have the time?  Do you need to learn the latest word processing program so you can write the great American novel?  Or, are you interested in some basic accounting procedures to help you with your bookkeeping?  Del Mar College can provide you with the classes you need to make life a little easier and more productive.
